410 ART AND TECHNIQUES OF DIGITAL FILM MAKING (12-31 July)

Turn your passion into a profession. This course is designed primarily for students who are planning a career in media. It attempts to go beyond skills and techniques. Students are encouraged to critique the social framework within which the media operates. We offer a chance for students to interact with distinguished media personnel - journalists, filmmakers, critics, photographers, advertising and publicity professionals - who form the teaching faculty at Ishvani Kendra for this course. In addition to classroom teaching, the emphasis is on individual and group projects, assignments and independent research. Students are expected to do a project of a professional nature within the stipulated time. The Institute awards its own certificate to students who successfully meet the course requirements.

The course includes the following topics: basics of visual communication, image and imagination, story and narrative, television production, photo communication, image making and representation, media effects and ethics, camera operation, lighting for video, sound in video production, editing techniques and stages of documentary film production. .

Requirement : Personal video camera of any make.
